Student Success Center Resources

As students start requesting sessions, the tutors may designate times for group sessions to accommodate students. Emails for available group sessions will be sent to the class when they are established. We will update this page to show any running group sessions or changes.

Success Appointment Students can make a success appointment to meet with a tutor to go over study skills, time management, learning styles, and note-taking. (make an appointment for in-person or virtual)

 **For appointments, students will need to give tutors detailed information when booking an appointment that includes topics they wish to address during the session.

If you are unable to meet for a session, students have access to Brainfuse tutors through their Live Help where Nursing and Allied Health is an available subject. If you are unsure about how to access Brainfuse or if you want to learn more about Brainfuse, please go to this page. 

Please check the Student Success Center's website to schedule an appointment for Math, and English/Papers, or you can choose Success to discuss a topic such as time management, learning styles, study skills, or test anxiety.

Make sure to take advantage of the following services at OCtech!

• Students can make an appointment to meet with a tutor to get assistance with the writing process. 
• Brainfuse is available for paper reviews through the writing lab. Students can submit their paper and within 24 hours the paper will be returned with feedback. Click here to learn more about Brainfuse. 
• Students can meet with one of the Librarians at OCtech to get assistance with research by contacting the Library and requesting an appointment. 
• Research can take more time than many students think. Make sure to take advantage of the Library Subject Guide for Nursing for finding your sources.
