  1. CURRENCY

When was the website published or last updated?

How does this affect the usefulness of the information presented?

 

  1. RELEVANCE

Who is the intended audience?

Is the information appropriate for college-level assignments?

 

  1. AUTHORITY

Who is the author?

Does the author have a professional background in the subject?

Is the author affiliated with any organizations?  What is the purpose of those organizations?

 

  1. ACCURACY

Are citations provided as evidence?

Are there spelling or grammatical errors?

Have other experts verified the information provided?

 

  1. PURPOSE

Why is the information being provided?

Does the author make their intentions clear?

Does the information come from a biased point of view?
